Shopping, meal planning and preparation
Deciding how you want to live is empowering, and Mutual Care is able to provide services that support individual and client-focused choice. A strong goal of the NDIA is to promote independent living, whether in a shared living environment – Supported Independent Living (SIL) – or under Independent Living Options (ILO) such as living alone or with a family member.
Mutual Care staff assist with all aspects of shopping and meal preparation, including:
- Doing all shopping, unpacking and putting away
- Transport to and from the shops
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Assistance with special diets or food preparation requirements
- Meals and eating/feeding
- Assistance with utensils and feeding if required.
Our competent and efficient staff will meet the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene, and will ensure that any specific dietary, religious and cultural requirements with eating and food preparation are respected and adhered to.
